Color advice at Bows lilac: wall paint & styling

Coloring Story/Bows - lilac

Lilac bows, a soft background, and a little room with a touch of romance: Bows lilac has something sweet without being extravagant. With LAB Nude Cashmere as a light base and Crimson Red by Farrow. & Ball, as a warm, earthy pink accent, gives the design a calm setting with some extra character.

Your color palette

Soft together, beautifully balanced

These two paint shades complement the combination from our children's room inspiration. Choose a calm base and only add an accent if it suits your room.

First, order a paint sample or color swatch of your favorite shade. View this at home next to a wallpaper sample, in daylight and with the lights on. This way, you can see which combination works best in your room.

The basis of the little room

Let the wallpaper be the beginning

The hand-drawn bows give the design a personal, playful feel. Let them reappear behind the bed or dresser and keep the adjacent wall simple. The pattern already incorporates many small details, making a simple wardrobe and solid-colored curtains work particularly well. You can enhance the romantic side with a curved piece of furniture or a soft fabric, but this isn't necessary everywhere. One carefully chosen detail is often enough to give the entire room its atmosphere. See also Bows - lilac wallpaper for the available versions.

From color swatch to wall

Which wall paint matches Bows - lilac?

LAB Nude Cashmere
no. 312

A soft neutral that gives the lilac room to breathe. Great for the other walls when you want the print to speak for itself, with natural wood and light bedding as a calm complement.

Farrow & Ball Crimson Red
no. W93

A warm, muted red shade with a pink undertone. Beautiful as a deliberate accent next to the wallpaper, for example on a small cabinet or a smaller wall surface. Keep the larger fabrics simple.

Two nice directions

This is what your room can feel like

01 Start softly with Nude Cashmere

Give the wallpaper one clear spot, for example behind the bed or in a reading nook. Place a color sample of Nude Cashmere next to the wallpaper swatch and decide which wall should receive this shade. With plain bedding and a simple wooden piece of furniture, the design remains clearly visible.

02 An accent that connects the room

Want to add a bit more color? Then test Crimson Red on a small wall surface or piece of furniture. Repeat the chosen shade in one or two accessories, such as a cushion or poster. Keep the other materials and larger fabrics simple, so that the different colors form a pleasing whole together.

The finishing touch

Furniture, fabrics & small details

Prefer one soft fabric with character over a lot of decoration with bows. A curved mirror, a wooden chair, and a light curtain make the pattern stand out beautifully. With posters, a calm background works well alongside the small drawings.Limit striking prints on the bed and floor: variety can also come from a woven throw, soft cotton, and different wood textures.

Our tip for home

Look first, then choose

Start with Nude Cashmere as a calm color next to the wallpaper. View the other shades from the palette as accents and test your favorite combination at home with a paint sample and wallpaper swatch.
