Wall sticker instructions
With these wall sticker instructions from ELLIE Studio, you can easily apply your wallpaper circle or arch yourself. Our wall stickers are made of high-quality polymer vinyl with a subtle LINO texture and are self-adhesive. With proper preparation and working slowly, you will achieve a smooth result without bubbles.
Step 1. Prepare
What do you need?
- A soft cloth or towel
- Optionally, a plastic squeegee or old bank card
- Measuring tape and pencil
- Spirit level or painter's tape
- Scissors or utility knife
Preparation of the wall:
- Ensure the wall is flat, clean, dry, and grease-free.
- Our wall stickers are made of high-quality polymer vinyl and adhere to the wall increasingly better over time.
- Not suitable for rough walls, textured plaster, or highly porous substrates.
- Do not apply wall stickers to freshly painted walls. Wait at least 2 weeks.
''A sturdy and well-finished surface ensures the best result. With light wall stickers on a dark wall, show-through may occur.
Step 2. Determine location and align
- Determine where you want to place the wall sticker
- Hold the sticker against the wall or measure the position.
- Use a spirit level or painter's tape to determine the correct height and position.
- Preferably work with two people. One holds the sticker, the other sticks it on.
→ Tip: always start by positioning carefully. A good start prevents crooked sticking.
Step 3. Pasting the wall sticker
- Carefully remove a small part of the paper from the back of the sticker.
- Start at the top left or right
- Stick the top of the sticker to the wall.
- Pull away the paper from the back step by step while smoothing out the sticker.
- Always rub from the inside out to prevent air bubbles.
- Use your hands or a soft squeegee
Work calmly and take your time. The more evenly you stick, the neater the end result.
Step 4. Press and check
- Press the wall sticker down firmly with a soft cloth.
- Check if all edges are securely attached.
- Do you see a small air bubble? Carefully prick a hole in it with a needle and press the air out.
- After application, leave the wall sticker undisturbed for at least 24 hours so that the adhesive layer can bond properly. If necessary, gently press the sticker down again with a soft cloth.

Remove wall sticker
Do you want to remove the wall sticker? Always do this carefully and without haste.
- Gently heat the sticker with a hairdryer. This softens the adhesive layer, making it release more easily.
- For fragile or loose paint layers, we advise extra caution when removing them.
- Pull the sticker off the wall slowly and evenly.
- Preferably pull at an oblique angle and not straight forward.
Tips and tricks for the best results
- Apply the wall sticker at room temperature between 18 and 22 degrees.

- Work calmly and without haste
- Always use a soft cloth to prevent damage.
- Do not stick onto fiberglass wallpaper without first applying an even layer of wall paint.
Frequently asked questions about applying wall stickers
